Our Educational Initiatives
Empowering futures through knowledge and opportunity.
Gurukul- Bhatta Pathshala
“Gurukul Bhatta Pathshala" is an educational initiative providing basic education to children of brick kiln workers in Jhajjar, Haryana. These children face significant barriers to formal schooling due to their parents' transient lifestyles, economic challenges, and early involvement in familial labor, perpetuating cycles of poverty. Our goal is to bridge this gap by offering literacy skills and a pathway to a brighter future.
‘स्लम से कलम तक’ - Our Journey:
- Initiation (2022): Began as an on-ground Pathsala in open-air settings for underprivileged children of migrant laborers.
- Early Challenges: Faced limitations in open-air and temporary Jhuggi setups, including limited space, inadequate weather protection, and lack of essential resources.
- Transition to Stable Environment: Shifted to a fully equipped building, providing a stable and conducive learning environment. This new facility enabled comprehensive educational, cultural, and sports activities.

Holistic Development Approach:
We focus on the all-round development of our students:
- Academics: Core educational instruction.
- Physical Well-being: Emphasized through yoga sessions and various games.
- Extracurricular Activities: Nurture creativity and social skills.
- Life Skills: Education on essential topics like Good Touch and Bad Touch, fostering personal safety and well-being.
Mainstreaming Education:
Recognizing the lack of proper documents (Aadhar cards, birth certificates) among brick kiln/migratory laborers, we assisted families in obtaining these. This enabled us to successfully facilitate the admission of 15 students into nearby government schools, integrating them into the mainstream educational system.
This initiative directly supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal-4: Quality Education, aiming for inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all. We strive to enhance educational infrastructure and implement innovative learning programs to bridge educational gaps.

Awareness Programmes in Schools
Good Touch Bad Touch & POCSO Act
We place strong emphasis on the safety and well-being of school children through comprehensive awareness programs. Educating kids about Good Touch and Bad Touch helps them understand the differences between safe and unsafe physical contact, empowering them to recognize and report inappropriate behavior. We also provide crucial information on how to stay safe and seek help regarding various aspects of child sexual abuse, including education about the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act, which safeguards children against sexual abuse and exploitation.
Cyber Crime Awareness
Cybercrime awareness is a critical focus. In an increasingly digital world, children are exposed to various online threats and risks. Through dedicated sessions, we educate students about the potential dangers of the internet, such as cyberbullying, online predators, and identity theft. The program emphasizes safe online practices, privacy protection, and how to navigate the internet responsibly, aiming to equip children with the knowledge and skills they need to protect themselves in the digital realm.
Traffic Rules & Road Safety
Understanding traffic rules is essential for children's safety, whether they are walking, cycling, or being driven to school. Our sessions cover basic traffic regulations, the importance of road safety, and the role of children in promoting a safer traffic environment.
Legal Literacy
Legal literacy provides students with a fundamental understanding of their rights and responsibilities under the law. By integrating these topics into our educational initiatives, we aim to create a well-rounded awareness program that prepares children to be informed, safe, and responsible members of society.
